CALL for COOPERATION
One of the aims of the Fachgruppe Deramatopharmakologie is the
collection, compilation and later on publication as a catalogue for bookshelf and bench
dermato-pharmacological working methods. The spectrum shall be from molecular
methods to bioengineering with respect to dermato-pharmacology. Briefly, every
method which targets skin and pharmaca.
All scientists are encouraged to send us information about the methods utilized in their labaratories.
Please make use of the following spread sheet.
(1) Description / Summary of the method
(2) Date of acceptance into the catalog (if applicable. Version number )
(3)†† Principle of the method
(4) ††Scientific purpose and suggested field of application of the method
(5) ††Relevance of the method
the already other established methods serving the same purpose
(6)†† Protocol of the method and the corresponding standard operating procedures†(SOPís).
In which the following points must be included
(7)††† Quality criteria : Statement of the controls
(negative controls, positive controls and if applicable, benchmark controls) and their statistical confidence intervals with which the quality of the testing procedure is confirmed.
(8) Reproducibility :
∑ data for reproducibility by one user
∑ data for comparison among different users
Limitations of the method
(Note: This point is very important, as according to our experience, due to uncriticalness, developers of a new methodology often claim unlimited applicability of their methods.)
(10) Developmental status of the method
∑ developed and applied only in one laboratory,
∑ transferred successfully to other laboratories,
∑ scientifically prevalidated or validated,
∑ if applicable: officially accepted for regulatory purposes
(11) Critical evaluation of the method considering
∑ Relevance (experimental purpose, need, favouring evidence)
∑ effort/benefit analysis,
∑ relativity to other methods serving the same experimental purpose
(13) If appropriate, reference addresses of the users of the method
